Editorial and fact-checking policy

This policy explains how Kota Sports researches, writes and corrects its guides. Last updated: 13 October 2026.

Sources

  • Official sources first. Government sports bodies, national federations, official infrastructure records and district administration notices.
  • Reliable references for history and background, such as established encyclopaedias and cricket records.
  • Venues and organisers for details about their own facilities, confirmed directly where possible.

Each guide lists its main sources at the end, so you can check them yourself.

What we will not publish

  • Fees, timings or phone numbers we cannot confirm. We explain what to ask and who to ask instead.
  • Rankings of academies or venues. We explain how to judge them.
  • Profiles of individuals, especially young athletes, unless the information is public, verifiable and shared with consent.
  • Event details we cannot confirm with the organiser or an official source.
  • Paid listings, sponsored rankings or fake reviews.

Writing

We write for players and parents in Kota, in plain language, with practical steps and safety advice. Every guide has a summary, clear headings and answers to common questions.

Health and safety advice

Many of our guides touch on health: heat, injuries, concussion, nutrition and training loads. We give general guidance only, base it on public health sources such as the World Health Organization and the NHS, and link to those sources so readers can check them. We do not diagnose, recommend medicines or doses, or replace a doctor, physiotherapist or dietitian, and we tell readers when to seek medical help. In an emergency in India, call 112.

How we choose topics

We write about the questions people in Kota actually ask about sport and fitness: where to play, how to choose a coach or class, how trials work, what to buy and how to stay safe. Before writing, we check that the page will add something useful that our existing guides do not already cover, and that we can answer honestly without inventing venues, fees, timings or results.

Updates and corrections

Every guide shows when it was last updated. When we learn that something has changed or was wrong, we correct the page and update the date. To report an error, contact us with the page and the correct information, ideally with a link to a source.

Photos

We use photos licensed under Creative Commons, credited on each page. We do not use team logos, brand marks or watermarked images. Where a photo was not taken in Kota, the caption describes what it shows.

Independence

Kota Sports is not affiliated with any sports body, venue, academy or shop, and nobody pays to appear in our guides. See our disclaimer and about page.
