We base our guides on official sources and reliable references where they exist, and link to them. Fees, timings, contact details and facilities at venues and academies change often, so we do not publish them unless we can confirm them. Earlier versions of this site carried athlete profiles, dated event listings, user accounts and an online shop. These have been retired because we could not verify the profiles and events, and the shop and accounts have closed. Old links redirect to the most relevant current guide.
Rules summaries
Some guides summarise the rules of a sport, such as badminton scoring or football ball sizes, in plain language. These summaries are for beginners and are not the official rules. Governing bodies revise their rules from time to time, and local events may use their own formats. For any competition, follow the current official rules, the organiser’s instructions and the decisions of the referee or umpire. Each rules guide links to the governing body or another reliable source.
